At Vibra Manufacturing, we make anti-vibration products suited to a range of environments and applications.

The pads we create are made from a variety of materials, with rubber being requested most often. Change from rubber and rubber-impregnated fabrics to high-temp silicone and glass-cotton fabrics.

VIBRA 300

Standard Rubber Anti-Vibration Pads

Vibra 300

Our standard rubber pads offer anti-vibration properties for general applications in commercial and industrial spaces. Our Vibra 300 is a composite material constructed from laminated rubber impregnated fabric for use in severe impact applications where close tolerances between opposing faces are guaranteed. Typical temperature range -50 to 100 degrees.

Using high-quality rubber, the pads are created to absorb vibrations and offer even load distribution, helping to protect equipment and the structures close to it.

The pads are most commonly used for pumps, compressors, fans, building services equipment and much more, with a wide variety of sizes available for any installation requirement.

Fabric and Cork Anti-Vibration Pads

Vibro 400 is a composite of laminated rubber impregnated fabric (Vibro 300), thermally bonded to Vibro 120 (cork rubber). This material is designed and constructed to withstand and absorb severe shock loads.

Glass–Silicone–Cotton Anti-Vibration Pads

Vibra 501 anti-vibration pads are a mixture of glass, silicone and cotton, which all combine to offer exceptional strength as well as great resistance to high temperatures, offering durability in the harshest environments. From -30 degrees to 200 degrees.

Vibra 501 has excellent resistance to ozone oxidation, ultraviolet and cosmic radiation.

Silicone-on-Cotton Anti-Vibration Pads

Vibra 504 anti-vibration pads combine silicone and cotton to create a stable anti-vibration pad that offers moderate heat resistance (typically up to ~30–200 °C) as well as durability when being exposed to fuels, oils and harsh weather, with the capability to hold heavy industrial machinery whilst isolating vibrations through long periods.

The pads are most commonly placed under compressors, fans, pumps, generators, HVAC systems and power generators.

Rubber-coated Fabric Anti-Vibration Pads

Vibra 619 is a rubber-coated fabric, thermally bonded between a PTFE sliding surface and a cork-rubber backing layer. It is designed for use in bearing applications where low-friction movement and vibration isolation are required.

 

  • The PTFE layer provides a low coefficient of friction to allow controlled sliding under load, while the cork-rubber layer offers resilience, load distribution, and vibration damping. This construction makes it suitable for applications involving thermal expansion and structural movement.
  • Operating temperature range: -40°C to +100°C.

Synthetic Rubber–Coated Fabric Anti-Vibration Pads

Vibra 624 is a synthetic rubber–coated fabric, thermally bonded to a PTFE sliding surface. It is designed for use in bearing and low-friction sliding applications where controlled movement and vibration isolation are required.

The PTFE layer provides a low coefficient of friction, allowing smooth movement under load, while the rubber backing offers resilience, load distribution, and vibration damping. The material is suitable for applications involving thermal expansion, structural movement, and mechanical isolation.

Typical characteristics include:

  • Low-friction sliding surface (PTFE)
  • Good load-bearing capability
  • Vibration and noise reduction
  • Resistance to wear and creep under compression
  • Suitable for use in pipe supports and bearing interfaces
  • Temprature Range -50 to + 150 degree

Our Manufacturing Process

We produce all our products at our warehouse in Runcorn. Our manufacturing process is based on the production of sheets made in a variety of different sizes and thicknesses. The sheets are made from materials comprising of rubber, silicone, glass fibres and cotton, with the materials used varying based on what application anti-vibration pads are needed for. Once the sheets are made, they’re then cut down to a variety of different sizes.

Sizes available range from small sheets at 170mm by 100 mm to larger sheets sized at 2000mm by 1000mm, with the maximum thickness being 35mm.

As our sheets are all cut to size, this means that if you have a particular size in mind, then we can cater to those requirements. Some customers also like sheets not to be cut, which is a requirement we can also cater for.

How Do Our Anti-Vibration Pads Work?

For the pads to work correctly, they should be used as an acoustic barrier between the surface and the bottom of the equipment. The anti-vibration pads separate the vibration from the floor and surrounding structure, allowing them to absorb vibrations that would otherwise be transmitted to the floor and surrounding structure.

It’s also important to note that how anti-vibration pads work also depends on what material you use to construct them. As mentioned previously, rubber is the most popular material used due to its flexibility and its ability to absorb vibrations.

If you’re looking for anti-vibration pads that can offer more durability than rubber, then we also manufacture composite anti-vibration pads that combine materials such as silicone, cotton and glass fibres to improve heat resistance while maintaining long-term vibration suppression when exposed to harsh chemicals, oils and heavy machinery.

What Type of Anti-Vibration Pad Do You Need?

Selecting the right type of anti-vibration pad can be a complex decision, as there are different factors that need to go into selecting the right materials for your specific use. Equipment that is used in a standard indoor setting will require a different solution than an industrial setting that houses loud machinery.

In more demanding settings, and high temperatures are required, a high-quality material is needed to ensure long-term use and durability on heavy loads, whilst also maintaining the performance needed. In cases such as this, it’s recommended that our Silicone-on-Cotton Anti-Vibration Pads (VIBRA 504) and Glass–Silicone–Cotton Anti-Vibration Pads (VIBRA 501) be considered, as they provide much greater resilience to these environments than standard rubber-made pads.
